These are grown the same way as square and heart shaped freshwater pearls. Nacre builds up onto the surface of a shape inserted into the mussel. These are silvery, rainbowy, little butterflies; a small rounded pearl has formed on each one as well. Strung on white powerpro and knotted. I have put two pearls aside that would be suitable for earrings, if needed. |
